Strength Training

Strength training should play a prominent role in any fitness programme. Whether your goal is to lose weight, tone up, improve sports performance or simply get stronger, structured strength training must feature within your programme.

I believe that strength training is hugely misunderstood by the average gym member. There are 4 different categories of strength to cater for different training and sports related goals. These include:

  1. Relative strength
  2. Functional strength
  3. Hypertrophy
  4. Strength endurance

All successful strength training programmes must take these 4 categories into consideration to achieve maximal strength gains.

I have worked with several athletes basing all their programmes on the four strength categories above. All have made considerable strength gains, dropped body fat and have improved their performance in the gym.

My scientific approach to strength training allows for greater success on the pitch, on the track or in the ring.
