Injury Rehabilitation
When working with a client who is recovering
from an injury, I like to work closely with their physiotherapist or osteopath to
ensure a swift recovery. Before I talk about injury rehabilitation programmes, my
initial assessment and ‘corrective exercise’ programmes are designed
to keep people injury free! The best advice I can give you about staying injury
free and keeping active is as follows:
Include plenty of flexibility, core strengthening and postural alignment exercises
within your programme!
I have worked successfully with many people who have suffered from long term niggling
injuries. As part of my assessment screen I will establish any restricted range
of motion and muscle asymmetry around the injured joint. From here I design a programme
to improve range and strength around the injury.
